I modded my GBA!

I have always loved the design of the original Game Boy Advance. The landscape orientation felt great in my hands. Of course, the glaring drawback of the original GBA’s design was always the awful unlit screen. It made playing games in less than ideal lighting situations VERY difficult.

So, I corrected this by modding an AGS-101 GBA SP backlight in to the original GBA case. After replacing the LCD, following a few simple instructions and soldering one solitary wire, I have the perfect Game Boy. 

Yes, I really think it’s the perfect Game Boy. Unlike the Game Boy Micro, it plays all Game Boy games. Compared to the GBA SP, it’s much more comfortable to play for extended periods of time (and unlike the SP uses a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack). I love this thing.
